The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) made an announcement on Monday regarding the commencement of the sale of its Expression of Interest and Nomination forms for the Governorship Primary Election in Ondo state. The sale is set to begin on April 3 and conclude on April 10. The party further stated that the Ondo state Governorship Primary Election is scheduled for April 25, with the primary election appeal slated for April 26.
In a statement released on its official platform and signed by the National Organizing Secretary, Sulaiman Argungun, the APC emphasized that these decisions align with the requirements of the Electoral Act 2022, as amended, and the pertinent sections of the Constitution.
The party’s statement highlighted, “In adherence to the stipulated sections of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and the Electoral Act 2022, the APC is hereby publicizing its timetable and series of events leading up to the gubernatorial election in Ondo state on November 16, 2024, as specified by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).”
Additionally, the APC has set the expression of interest form at N10 million, while the nomination form is priced at N40 million. As per tradition, female aspirants and individuals with disabilities are only required to obtain the expression of interest form, as the nomination form is exempted from fees.
