The Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission, during its session on Wednesday, gave the green light to a substantial increase in electricity rates for customers falling under Band A classification.
Under the revised tariff structure, customers in this category will now face a revised charge of N225 per kilowatt-hour (KW/h), representing a significant surge from the previous rate of N66 per KW/h.
