Ondo guber: PDP holds primary Thursday, sets up 7-member panel

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has officially announced the schedule for its Ondo State Governorship primary, which is set to take place on Thursday.

The National Working Committee (NWC) of the party has established a seven-member Governorship Primary Election Committee, with Sen. Ewhrudjakpo Oborawhartevwo appointed as the chairman.

In a statement released by the PDP National Publicity Secretary, Hon. Debo Ologunagba, in Abuja on Wednesday, the details of the primary election committee and the upcoming event were outlined.

According to the statement, the NWC of the PDP, in accordance with the party’s Constitution, has named the members who will serve on the Ondo State Governorship Primary Electoral Committee. Their primary responsibility is to oversee the Governorship Primary Election to select the party’s candidate for the forthcoming Governorship Election in Ondo State.

The primary election is scheduled to be held on Thursday, April 25, 2024, at the International Culture and Event Centre, The Dome, Akure, Ondo State. The committee members include H.E. Sen. Ewhrudjakpo Oborawhartevwo as Chairman, Hon. Oluwole Busayo Oke, Rt. Hon. Muktar Ahmed, Haj. Hassana Diko, Barr. John Mathew, Hon. Nnena Ikondon, and Hon. Dare Adeleke as Secretary.
