In Tuesday’s semi-final showdown against France in Munich, Spain’s Lamine Yamal etched his name into European Championship lore as the youngest goalscorer in the tournament’s history at just 16 years and 362 days old.
Yamal, the talented winger from Barcelona, left spectators in awe as he expertly curled a magnificent strike from 25 meters, surpassing the previous record held by Switzerland’s Johan Vonlanthen. Vonlanthen had secured the title of youngest scorer at 18 years and 141 days during Euro 2004.
