The Chairman of the Senate Committee on Police Affairs, Senator Ahmed Abdulhamid Malam-Madori, has publicly commended the Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Egbetokun, along with the devoted officers and personnel of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) for their exemplary and professional handling of the ongoing #EndBadGovernance protests that are occurring across various regions of the country.
In a formal statement that he personally signed, which was released in Abuja on Saturday, Senator Malam-Madori took the opportunity to express his appreciation for the actions of the IGP and his team. He highlighted their impressive restraint, civility, and professionalism in how they have responded to the protests, emphasizing that these attributes align perfectly with the best practices of modern law enforcement and policing techniques that are recognized worldwide.
Senator Malam-Madori remarked, “I would like to extend my commendations to the Inspector General of Police and his dedicated officers for the exceptionally professional manner in which they have managed the #EndBadGovernance protests that have been unfolding across the nation.”
He elaborated on this point by stating that, “The steadfast commitment to professionalism demonstrated even when faced with the potential threats and challenges that accompany these protests is highly commendable. It reflects an unwavering dedication to not only the safety of all Nigerians but also the protection of their fundamental human rights.”
