Nigeria facing most difficult, challenging time – Reps Minority Caucus

The Minority Caucus in the House of Representatives has expressed deep concern over the current formidable challenges facing Nigeria, encompassing governance, socio-political dynamics, and economic hardships exacerbated by severe living conditions and controversial government policies.

Furthermore, the Caucus has extended warm greetings to Muslim adherents, particularly those within Nigeria, in light of the ongoing Eid-Mubarak festivities for this year.

In a formal communication endorsed by the Minority Leader, Honorable Kingsley Chinda, it was emphasized that both Muslim faithful and all citizens of Nigeria must stand resolute and unwavering in their roles towards fostering the revival of a genuinely secular, progressive, and egalitarian Nigerian society.

The statement underscored the daily struggles endured by Nigerians, including hunger, severe suffering, poverty, escalating violence, abductions, and rampant kidnappings across the nation.

Expressing solidarity with Muslim compatriots during this significant period, the Caucus joins numerous well-meaning individuals in celebrating the Eid-Mubarak festivities, emphasizing the global significance of this occasion.

Encouraging Muslim brethren to uphold values such as tolerance, forgiveness, selflessness, mutual affection, benevolence, harmonious coexistence, and peaceful interactions, as exemplified by the teachings of the Holy Prophet Mohammed (Peace Be Upon Him).

Furthermore, the hope was expressed that this occasion would serve as a platform for continued prayers from Muslim brethren for the unity, peace, and advancement of Nigeria.

Reiterating the collective resilience of the Nigerian people and their unwavering faith in divine support, the statement concluded with an optimistic outlook towards eventual triumph and success.

In related developments, the Minority Caucus also conveyed concerns regarding alleged attempts by the Federal Government and the ruling APC to instigate a new form of extremism akin to Boko Haram in Kano, emphasizing the need for vigilance and unity in combating such threats.
