The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, commonly known as JAMB, has made public the outcomes of individuals who partook in the supplementary Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, UTME.

The announcement about the results release was communicated through a statement on Friday morning by the board’s spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin.
The supplementary exam was organized for 28,835 candidates who experienced challenges with biometric verification during the primary 2024 UTME, consequently hindering them from completing their exams.
Moreover, another group of candidates included those under suspicion of engaging in exam malpractices during the initial UTME; nevertheless, they were granted a second opportunity to undertake the examination.
“The process, which observed considerable success nationwide, was characterized by rigorous security protocols instigated by the Board to prevent any potential incidents of exam misconduct.
Consequently, individuals with malicious intent attempting to impersonate legitimate candidates were apprehended and handed over to law enforcement authorities for further scrutiny and legal action as indicated in the statement.
It was further stated: “The board remains committed to ensuring that no candidate gains an unfair advantage through illicit practices by leveraging cutting-edge technology before, during, and after examinations.
Candidates, therefore, are strongly advised for their own benefit to abstain from participating in any form of irregularities during their exams.
They are also urged to refrain from seeking score manipulations from fraudulent individuals or engaging in the alteration of their result documents in an attempt to produce forged result sheets with inflated scores.

Challenges of mass failures and annual idiosyncrasies in the UTME continue to persist.

To access their supplementary UTME results, candidates are instructed to text UTMERESULT to either 55019 or 66019 using the same phone number utilized to generate their profile codes at the onset of registration.
